Price depends on the dish size, the number of viewing points, cable-run lengths and whether wall trunking or a TV mount is included. A standard single-decoder installation is the most affordable; Extra View and multi-room setups cost more because of extra cabling and configuration. We always give a fixed quote upfront — the price we quote is the price you pay.

A standard single-decoder installation takes about 1.5 to 2 hours. Explora installations run slightly longer because of the smart LNB and app setup. Extra View and multi-room jobs typically take 2 to 4 hours depending on cable routes and the number of rooms.

Extra View lets you link up to three decoders on a single subscription for a small added monthly fee, so different rooms can watch different channels at the same time. The decoders communicate over a dedicated “heartbeat” cable connection, which is why correct wiring matters — badly linked decoders disconnect randomly. We wire and configure the link so it stays stable.

Heavy rain and thick cloud absorb the satellite signal — short dropouts in a severe storm are normal and affect everyone. But if your picture pixelates in light rain, or the signal doesn't come back after the storm, your dish alignment, LNB or connectors are marginal and need attention. A well-aligned dish has enough signal headroom to ride out most weather.

Yes, dish realignment is one of our most common callouts. We re-aim the dish at the IS-20 satellite using a calibrated signal meter, then re-tension and, if needed, replace the mounting hardware so the dish holds position in future winds.

E48-32 means the decoder is receiving no signal at all. Common causes are a dish knocked out of alignment, a failed or water-damaged LNB, broken or waterlogged cable, or a loose connector. We diagnose from dish to decoder and fix the actual cause. Other common codes: E16 (service not activated — an account issue) and E143-4 (Extra View decoders that have lost their link).

Yes — guesthouses, lodges, pubs, sports bars, gyms, staff quarters, complexes and office parks. We design the dish, multiswitch and cabling layout for the building, install with minimal disruption, and offer maintenance agreements with priority response.

Either works. We carry dishes, LNBs, brackets and cabling as standard stock and can supply decoders on request. If you've already bought equipment, we're happy to install it — we'll just check it's the right spec for your setup before we start.

Yes. Every installation and repair carries a written workmanship guarantee, and any hardware we supply carries its manufacturer's warranty. If a fault turns out to be caused by our workmanship, the return visit and correction are free.

Usually, yes. Call before midday and we can reach most Gauteng suburbs the same day. Urgent no-signal faults get priority and are attended seven days a week.

Yes — the Explora needs a smart LNB (or a smart switch on older dishes) to access all its tuners for recording while you watch. If you're upgrading from an older decoder we'll check your current dish and LNB and quote for exactly what needs to change, which is often less than a full new installation.

Yes. We de-install the dish and decoders at your old property, then reinstall, realign and retest everything at the new one — often on the same day. If the new property already has a dish, we'll test it first and reuse whatever is still up to standard.
